Established first end-to-end studies of overall service design experience of self-driving vehicles resulting in the development of enhanced logging across many teams, development of a Support team, and new terminology now in common use across the industry.
Co-founder of the Waymo Early Rider Program, collecting the first longitudinal real-world UX feedback of a self-driving taxi service. Results and findings continue to inform operations at all levels, as the study became the product now known as Waymo One.
Established and developed the first of-its-kind passenger comfort metrics as the primary customer experience advocate in a completely unique, highly-technical ecosystem.
Led research (ethnographic and lab studies) of all user interfaces (app, screens, VUI, sound), collaborating with the design team to address complex large-scale service issues and unique interactions in the app.
Provided UI and UX sketches to the design team for the physical and digital interfaces in the vehicle and consumer app, as well as helped define the sound design for the in-car user experience.
